Watch for updates to this section! Local Events Dr. John H. "Pete" Mosley was named the superintendent of the Ozark City School System. The seven schools in the Ozark City School system show a total enrollment of 4,005 at the beginning of the school year. (1974 enrollment was 4151) Jaimee Morgan was crowned Miss Ozark. Mayor Tom Goff defeated B.F. "Buddy" Williams Jr. for his third term of office. The election results were: Goff-2122 Williams-1923. Val L. McGee, an Ozark attorney and real estate developer, was awarded the Community Service Award by the Ozark Service League. Kenneth W. Quattlebaum opened his law office in Ozark. Dale County voters gave Jimmy Carter a solid victory in the County against Gerald Ford. Judge P.B. McLaughlin ruled that Judge T.L. Borom was entitled to hold the office of District Judge, and that the election of Val L. McGee was void. Dr. Connie Chandler opens a new office on James St. Some Dale County schools closed due to the flu. Three people on Race Track St. were the victims of ax slayings. Libba Garner was the first woman to apply for a license to preach in Dale County. McDonalds restaurant opened. Carroll High School awarded 277 diplomas at the May 27 graduation, which was held at the Ozark Civic Center. National Events America's Viking 1 robot spacecraft
made a successful, first-ever landing on Mars. The supersonic Concorde jet was put into service in Great Britain and France. The space shuttle "Enterprise" went on its maiden flight above the Mojave Desert, atop a Boeing 747. 165 people were killed when fire raced
through the Beverly Hills Supper Club in Southgate, KY. World Events Israeli commandos raided Entebbe
airport in Uganda, rescuing almost all of the passengers and crew of an Air France

Just need to put the date in my scheduler ASAP so I'll know how much time I have to diet and seek the assistance of a plastic surgeon (just kidding). CommentsDidn't get to graduate in 77 with my class. Moved my senior year, oh the joys of the military. I still have fond memories of Murphs drama class and Mr. Sherlies music class. Never will forget the smell of peanuts wafting over the tennis courts as we beat those little balls senseless. If anyone knows were Linda Nelson is please let me know. We kept in touch until she left Texas. Silvia Leatherwood if you are out there drop me a line. I still think we were the best Polka dancers!!

Her name was Karen Dillon. I think her name now might be Karen Cook. Maybe somone that handled your last reunion could help me.... (she wasn't there though).
