Tony Parrish Harve "Danny" Jones Chezleigh Hogan Randles Stacy Sherbert Linda Wallace Name: Bobby Lott CommentsMost of you probably don't remember me, but I went to Mixon Elementary from 1st through 6th grade. (Actually, 6th grade was in the old Flowers High School, if y'all remember that). We moved away suddenly that year, and never went back. I have thought about all my friends often over the years, there were many fond memories. I now live in Birmingham, AL, and have a small law practice. I was able to recently make contact with one of my best old friends, Jeff Outlaw. He told me about this site, so I had to come check it out. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me, and who would love to drop a note to say hello. Take care, and God Bless. Bobby Name: Bob Moore CommentsThis is a great web site. It is good to see the names of so many friends and classmates here. I haven't been back to Ozark, or even Alabama for that matter, for years, but still have fond memories of growing up there. I recently met someone whose husband was stationed at Ft. Rucker in the early 70's and that sparked my interest in taking a stroll down memory lane. I hope that some of you will contact me! CommentsI was scrolling through the memorial pages today, and was very saddened to see so many of my classmates and peers were gone. I can close my eyes and see so many faces. As I went down the list of even younger alumni gone, I was struck with how temporal this life is. I hope and pray that we have all found the joy of family, work that sustains and blesses, friends who stick with you through thick and thin, and most importantly - I pray we have all found the life of faith in Jesus Christ, and can look forward to an eternity together in heaven. God bless you all class of 1978. CommentsTo the class of 1978: Mark S. O'Steen died January 30,2003Bagram, Afghanistan, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Night Stalkers. "Grant that whereever we serve, we may be loyal to our proud heritage. Make us to choose the harder right over the easier wrong, and never to be content with a half-truth when the whole can be won. "May we ever embody the principles upon which the Night Stalkers are founded and serve proudly with the memory of those who have gone before. Give us the courage to fight, to win and the faith to die rather than quit. Night Stalkers don't quit..." Mark was on his third mission to Afghanistan. He was the first pilot to fly an attack aircraft carrying soldiers into that country after Sept. 11, when military operations began there. He believed deeply in the mission there and was always proud of being from Ozark. He would have been very proud of the honor that his classmates bestowed upon him on learning of his death. Thank you for keeping our family in your prayers and thoughts, as we move as a nation into this momentous time in our battle against terrorism. Please join us in praying for President Bush, The United States of America, Our Allies and most of all for the men and women serving in our armed forces. God Bless America, LTC(Ret) David & Rhonda O'Steen, Class of 67 & 69. Our email address is
