I can't believe it has been almost 10 years. I never thought I would be this old!! Well, lets see, some things about me. I have been happily married for almost 9 years. Yep, that's right, got married a year after I graduated high school and absolutely no regrets. My husband is in the army and currently stationed at Ft. Benning, Ga. We've been in Alaska, Tennessee, and now Georgia. Who knows where else we'll end up. We have 3 beautiful children---yep again three!!! Our oldest girl is 6, our youngest girl is 2 and our newest baby boy is 7 months. Life has been good to us and God willing it will continue to be. I love being able to stay home with my kiddos and do the whole mother thing. Shawn is a great dad and a great soldier. He just finished the trail for drill sgt.---ugh! But he will start officer candidate school in May---yeah! Good to hear that there will be a 10 year reunion. Maybe Shawn and I will be able to come. Got bored and wanted to see what everyone is up too. Little catchup for me. I went to TSU for a little while then could not afford anymore(go figure). Then I joined the workforce(well that sucked) so I joined the US Navy in 2001. I have traveled throughout the states to included Chicago,IL; Pensacola,Fl; Norfolk,VA; Jacksonville, Fl; and my units currently stationed out of Gulfport,MS. I have also been overseas to Okinanwa, Japan and now i am in the lovely country of Iraq. I was married but that did not work out. I was affected by Hurricane Katrina(had 6-7 feet of water in my apartment) but thank god for renter's insurance. And now I am looking forward to leaving Iraq and getting out of the US Navy in the summer of 2006. I am planning on going back to school and getting a degree in electronic engineering or biomedical engineering. Good Luck to all and rememember to say a prayer for all of the soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen over here and around the world fighting to preserve the freedoms we take for granted on a daily basis. Name: PRISCILLA CommentsHey! Whats happening everybody. Im currently working at Ft. Rucker, AL. On Chinook ( ch-47) helicopters. I went to college and received two A.S. degrees. One in automotive and the other receiving my airframe and powerplant licenses. I went to ground school in Ft. Rucker to become a flight engineer. I miss CHS a lot. I was in a 7 yr relationship with this chic, but we currently split up. Everything happens for a reason though. But I hope to hear from all yall clowns one day. Take care everybody. Holla at yall. Name: Bonnie Mizell CommentsHey everybody! Just thought I'd check out the site and see "who's who" and where everybody is. I'm performing in Las Vegas so if you ever visit, email me and let me know! I work as a dueling piano player at NYNY casino and The Paris. It's a high-energy rocking piano show (if you ever saw Stray Cats in Dothan, that's what it's like but more "vegas" style). I'm also recording an album in New York so hopefully that will be finished in April. It's good to see everyone's doing great. Hopefully I will see some of you in Vegas soon! Take care! Bonnie Name: Jeff Youngblood CommentsThanks for the update Amanda on the reunion, I will gladly step aside for our class pres. to take care of the arrangements. I've just been out of the loop for the past 5 years or so and didn't want to miss our 10 year. Let me know if you need any help and stay in touch. Jeffrey L. Youngblood Name: Amanda Little Harris CommentsJust wanted to assure you all that there will be a 10 year reunion. As senior class president, Andy Shaw will be the one to get the ball rolling. Karen, Mandy, and I have already been in touch as well. We will be trying to get us all together in Ozark this coming summer to make plans for the summer '07 reunion. Name: Jeff Youngblood CommentsATTN: class of '97 Just a little information on me to let everyone know how I am and some reunion information. Life has been extremely good here lately, I did the whole 4 year tour military thing and I now have one of those cool government jobs where I can't discuss what I do but I get to travel the world so I'm loving that. I was married for awhile(2 years) but at some point in my marriage I developed a brain and got out of that situation. I was fortunate in the sense that we didn't have any kids... not that I don't want any just would've complicated a very bad relationship. Anyways that's a pretty quick rundown of what's been going on here in the past 8 years.... so with the exception of not having a family everythings been going great. Moving on to reunion information, as far as I'm aware we didn't have a 5 year reunion or either I was stationed up north and didn't hear about it. So if no one is in charge of setting up our 10 year I am going to assume that responsibility. Like I said I travel now so I have no contact information on anyone, so please contact me via email or also at classmates, I've posted information there as well. Please address messages to me ATTN: Class of '97 or something of that sort so that I don't disregard it as junk mail. I would appreciate any contact information on other members of our grad class as well as ideas pertaining to activities for the reunion ( I have a few good ideas I may go with but all ideas are appreciated). Thank you for your help in this matter and I hope everyone is doing fine. I can't wait to hear from any and all.
Hello, Name: Kevin Hicks CommentsEight years. Where does the time go? I was in Ozark a couple of weekends ago and ran into Ray Lopez. It was funny to see the shock in his face once he realized who it was. I fully enjoyed talking with Ray even if it was just for a short while. I was in Ozark last week picking up the last of my crap from my folks house. Eight years of living in apartments and I finally bought a house in Birmingham. If I ever get my website created I will post some photos. I figured that since I was in Ozark for the day that I would make a visit to CHS. Many new faces, but Ms. Dees and Mrs. Faye Brown are still teaching. It is hard to imagine being that age again. So many of us still without even a clue of what the real world was all about. It is amazing how much we all tend to change, or for lack of a better work "grow up", after we finish high school. Well, I just wanted to congrats to everyone who is expecting or who currently have children. It might seems like a lot of work at times, but they are truly an amazing gift. I will keep looking out for future posts to this board. I hope everyone is happy and doing well. Take care.
